Kèr Sterfíhjag (Sterfíh /jag/ [tongue; language; dialect] [magnet]) is a subtropical Town located in Àlu̹ho Gæchîchyû Kingdom, Gàdāwù Provence, within the Dalandic Empire.

The name Kèr Sterfíhjag is derived from the Tauric language, as Kèr Sterfíhjag was founded by Thilioril Allen, who was culturaly Tauric.

Climate

Kèr Sterfíhjag has a yearly average temperature of 24°C (75°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 28°C (82°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 21°C (69°F). Overview

Kèr Sterfíhjag was founded durring the early 9th century, by Thilioril Allen. The establishment of Kèr Sterfíhjag was plagued by a lack of willing colonists. After attempts to pay people to resettle failed Thilioril Allen struck deals with nearby nations and communities to establish Kèr Sterfíhjag as a prison colony.

Kèr Sterfíhjag was built using the conventions of Tauric durring the early 9th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Kèr Sterfíhjag is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Kèr Sterfíhjag is buildings are arranged arrounded highly ordered system of broad baked earthen streets which form hexical paterns, allowing the incides of the octagons to be common grounds for the buildings on the edges, be it for parkland, yardspace, plazas, or markets. The town has a defencive wall made from querried stone. The wall is equipped with a full set of battlments but the nature of its construction methodology leaves it somewhat vulnerable to siege equipment. That said, the town is well defended against anything short of an army. Kèr Sterfíhjag's cost-cutting-focused defences are in an unremarkable state. To some, this is the ideal sate for defences to be in. In need of absoutly nothing, and ready to serve the town as needed.

Kèr Sterfíhjag seems to be abandoned at first. There are people present, working their trades and going about their business like any community, it’s just they are absurdly quiet. Just as you start to think there might be trouble, you see most of them are smiling, quietly exchanging words with a friend, or simply enjoying the day as they work. It reminds you of an evening at home as everyone dined, having run out of things to talk about and embraced the savory meal before them.

Civic Infrastructure

Kèr Sterfíhjag has an Office of Civil Groundskeeping, which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the construction and upkeep up of all plant life, water features, and other natural decorations within Kèr Sterfíhjag. They are also responsible for the maintenance of these features. Notably, the OCG is not responsible for Kèr Sterfíhjag's parks.

Kèr Sterfíhjag possesses an older civil lighting system consisting of street lamps. These lights provide nighttime illumination to most city streets.

Kèr Sterfíhjag has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Kèr Sterfíhjag's natural decorations nor waterways.

Kèr Sterfíhjag has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Cultural Notes

Kèr Sterfíhjag's town hall was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is famous for its stately symmetry, classical elements, and grand appearance. Columns and pillars, such as Corinthian columns, are often seen supporting open structures or porticos. Symmetry is an important feature of this style, with each half of a building mirroring the other. Domed ceilings and windows grace these buildings, with everything placed in a mathematical arrangement.

Due to the actions of local Kami, autumn is recurring in Kèr Sterfíhjag.

The Ronus near Kèr Sterfíhjag are known to be quite timid.

Kèr Sterfíhjag's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in spring and involves destroying a prepared ritual vessel to channel Transmutation energies of tier 1 via proclamations.
